Not to take anything away from Mike Conley (see below), but it’s kind of hard not to get on the James Harden/Jeremy Lin Score-A-Thon Bandwagon right now… It’s only 2 games, but that makes the math a lot easier when we figure out that Harden is now averaging 41 Points Per Game.
Line of the Night: Mike Conley (2.37) helped Memphis jump out to an early lead against the Warriors with 21 points (3 threes, 8-8 from the line), 7 assists, and 5 steals.
Honorable Mentions:
James Harden (2.13 – actually third on the night) scored another

Top 35 Fantasy Small Forwards for the 2012-13 Season
Source: Give Me The Rock by Patrick
Small forward is a strange position in fantasy this year. The two best players in the league happen to play the position, then the talent drops hard and fast drop through the tiers. Even if you fold in the shooting guards who are also eligible at small forward, it is not a particularly deep position at all. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Onto the rankings!
Tier 1: You’re the Best… Around
1. Kevin Durant (1 Overall Rank), Oklahoma City Thunder
Durant and James are really 1a and 1b in terms of draft position this year. We like Durant slightly more, because he finished last season on the top of the GMTR

It’s that time of year again, fantasy basketball draft prep time. We hear you. We know what you’re looking for, and have been searching the web for all this time, and no we don’t mean naked Emma Watson pics. That’s the kind of thing you clear your browsing history for. Seriously, it’s time to talk about sleepers. Who we think are NBA players who have a chance to slip through the cracks and exceed their average draft positions. In short, draft day gold. Sleepers are technically supposed to be like Fight Club. They both have the same first two

Day 95 of 124: Where Deron Williams Doesn’t Feel the Love
Source: Give Me The Rock by Patrick
Line of the Night: Amazingly, Deron Williams (2.94) edges out Kevin Love’s 40 point performance with a 30 point, 4 three, 9 assist and 2 steal game against the Pacers. How did he do it? Williams shot better from the floor and the line than Love, had more assists and fewer turnovers. Of course, the big negative is that he didn’t have 19 rebounds like the #2 player on the night.
Honorable Mentions: Just how good has Kevin Love (2.62) been recently? Love’s 40 point, 19 rebound and 4 three game against Charlotte just missed out on the fantasy line of the night, which would have been his third line of the night in four days. Love is now #3 on our player rater for the 2011-12

Line of the Night: This is Paul Pierce’s (2.83 WARP) second line of the night this season (the first came on Day 30) and he has the Bobcats to thank for it. With Ray Allen sitting out with a sore right ankle, Pierce led the Celtics to a 102-95 win against Charlotte with 36 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. He also went 15-18 from the line. Boston is now tied with Philadelphia for first place in the Atlantic Division, so expect both teams to go hard as the regular season comes to a close. Court Report: Hawks get a lift from Kirk Hinrich

The Hawks moved to 7-3 in Kirk Hinrich's 10 starts with a win over the Cavs on Sunday and Larry Drew understandably likes the three-guard look for the team. Hinrich over Marvin Williams in the starting five has coincided with a rise in the Hawks' offensive efficiency, and the numbers are climbing for the team's notables. Joe Johnson has been on fire at small forward, averaging 25.7 points on 54-percent shooting, 3.3 threes, 4.7 assists, and 1.7 steals in 38 minutes over his past six games. The health of Johnson's knee is a

There's not much else left to say about Raymond Felton's offensive game at this point. Thursday produced yet another "Felton-esque" line (24 minutes, 0 points, 0-7 FG, 2 assists, 5 turnovers), and after the game he let it be known that we should blame his poor performance on a lack of confidence from Nate McMillan:
"I know I'm struggling, but it's hard to perform the way you know how when you know they don't have confidence in you. Never in my days playing basketball, have I felt like a coach wasn't confident in my abilities. It's hard to play knowing

Anthony Morrow and Paul George have nothing on Nicolas Batum…
Line of the Night: Nicolas Batum (2.94) was a game time decision against Denver with a bruised knee that had already kept him out two games. Well, the knee is apparently fine as Batum hit a franchise record 9 threes on his way to a career-high 33 points and adding 3 steals for good measure. If you had stashed Batum on your bench until you were sure he was back on the court (like me), then it’s time to get Batum back in your lineup without getting too pissed you missed this game from him.

We had a little bit of a conversation going last night on Twitter about which three-point bomber would get the Line of the Night:. Well, despite Anthony Morrow‘s (2.97) 8 threes on 13-20 from the field and 8-8 from the line to end up with 42 points, his lack of peripheral stats means that Erik was right in calling Paul George (4.29) as the winner of the three-point fantasy basketball player rater shootout. George ended up with 30 points (7 threes, 11-19 from the field, 1-1 free throws), 9 rebounds, 5

Court Report: Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith soon for the NBA?
Source: Roto Arcade by Matt Buser
The Clippers have signed Kenyon Martin to a one-year deal, but how soon he actually joins the team has yet to be determined. The Chinese Basketball Association's regular season ends on February 16, and Martin may still have to wait until after his former team's final game. In any case, he'll be the third big for the Clips when he is activated, seeing a sizable portion of the playing time that has gone to Reggie Evans (14 minutes per game) and Solomon Jones (12) over the past two weeks. Martin is going to top out at around 20 minutes on most nights, so his impact will be limited to very deep leagues. As for

Court Report: Where have you gone, Dirk Nowitzki?
Source: Roto Arcade by Matt Buser
Dirk Nowitzki's protracted offensive issues continued Wednesday - and arguably hit a low point - as he scored eight points on 2-of-15 shooting and missed all five of his threes in 38 minutes of a 95-86 loss to the Thunder. Nowitzki has now averaged 9.3 points on 28-percent shooting in three games since returning from his rest period and has missed all 11 of his long-range attempts. Dirk says the swelling in his knee is gone, and now it's just a matter of working to get his shooting rhythm back and find confidence in his shooting stroke. We're in a situation where he have to take him at his word that he's feeling fine

Line of the Night: In a year where just about all PGs are struggling (especially with their shots), Brandon Jennings (2.96 WARP) has somehow found a way to improve his FG% from 39% last season to 44% so far this season. Of course, maybe none of that really matters, as Jennings shot just 9-25 from the floor against the Heat, and yet led all fantasy lines last night thanks to 31 points (going 7-14 from three), with 8 assists and 4 steals. Jennings is going to
