In 2012 Steelers rookie WR Markus Wheaton had 21 receptions, on passes of 15 yards or longer, which ranked 2nd in Pac-12 last year behind Marqise Lee (USC).
Our View: Mike Wallace who? That's what the Steelers are hoping Wheaton makes fans say. Wheaton is fast like Wallace but a more natural receiver who does a good job of adjusting to poorly thrown passes. He'll compete for playing time as the Steelers third WR behind
Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders in 2013.

DeAndre Hopkins HOU (1st RD) -
While Cordarrelle Patterson may have the best upside from a raw skills perspective in this years class, it is Deandre Hopkins that is No.1 on my board. In Hopkins you have the most polished receiver in this class and he should be a slam dunk, week one starter opposite Andre Johnson.
At worst case Hopkins will be a bye week starting option in his rookie year and at best case he’s probably a weekly WR3 play. By next year we should see his floor at WR3, and his upside could blossom as far as a WR1 in PPR leagues, if the injury bug jumps up and bits Johnson again.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writes that 3rd-round WR Markus Wheaton could make the biggest impact of any Steelers rookie this season. Wheaton brings good downfield speed and polished route running. Doug Farrar of Yahoo!'s Shutdown Corner blog compared him to Brandon Lloyd. Wheaton, of course, will likely compete with 1st-round OLB Jarvis Jones and 2nd-round RB Le'Veon Bell for the "most impactful" label. But the fact that he's in the discussion makes Wheaton worth a look later in your fantasy draft. He might open the season behind only Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders on the WR depth chart.

The Steelers really had no chance of re-signing wide receiver Mike Wallace, but the sting of not having him on the Heinz Field turf will be felt for a while. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger understands this.
quot;People don't realize how important it is to have a guy with [Wallace's] ability on the football field and the guy who is probably going to notice it the most right from the get-go is
Antonio Brown," Roethlisberger said in a radio interview Friday. "Safeties have to respect Mike's speed. Cornerbacks and the defense are scheming to stop Mike Wallace going deep. Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is still a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver. Jordan Woy, Sanders' agent, tweeted Sunday that the team has matched the Patriots' one-year, $2.5 million offer to the 26-year-old wideout, meaning Sanders will spend his fourth season in Pittsburgh. If the Steelers hadn't matched Sanders' offer by midnight tonight, he would have become the Patriots' property. FANTASY ANALYSIS: I guess all of that lobbying by Ben Roethlisberger to keep Sanders worked. It's a worthwhile match for the Steelers, who were looking at the possibility of at having a huge void at WR heading into the draft. They could definitely use more there, but a combination of Sanders and

Huddle Up: If Sanders departs, he joins Mike Wallace as an ex-Steeler WR, taking away a combined 108 catches, 1,462 yards and 9 TDs from the Pittsburgh offense of last season and leaving Big Ben with an uninspiring WR corps headed by Antonio, Brown, Jerricho Cotchery and Plaxico Burress.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that the Steelers are "50-50" on whether to match the Patriots' 1-year, $2.5 million offer to WR Emmanuel Sanders. They can afford the move, but some inside the organization would rather have the 3rd round pick they'd net by letting Sanders go. QB Ben Roethlisberger is reportedly pushing for the team to retain him. That makes sense. Without Sanders, the Steelers would only be left with Jerricho Cotchery and Plaxico Burress behind Antonio Brown on the depth chart. If you happened to draft Brandon Lloyd this past summer like I did, you’ve probably been shaking your head when watching the Patriots play on prime-time television the past two weeks as the veteran has looked like a Pro Bowl star. In that time Lloyd has been targeted a whopping 25-times, hauling in 17-receptions for 279-yards a score and even picking up a fumble recovery in the end zone for another touchdown.
Problem is, many of you didn’t have him in your lineup let alone on your team at this point, after Lloyd struggled throughout the season and was demoted out of two receiver sets against the Dolphins and Colts.

While many have made the case for Michael Crabtree being a first round bust, it appears the 4th year receiver is starting to come into his own. Early signs in the off-season suggested this could be a breakout year for Crabtree, if for no other reason than he finally overcame his problematic foot issues.
For the first-time Crabtree actually played in a preseason game this August, and thankfully his foot ailments appear to be a thing of the past.
The best thing that ever happened for Crabtree was Alex Smith’s demotion in the middle of the season. It’s not that Crabtree and Smith weren’t having success together, but more that Colin Kaepernick has the

As an Arian Foster owner in numerous leagues, it was frustrating to see him not score in a game for just the second time all season, especially at home in such a favorable matchup, but he really piled on the yards late, finishing with 165 rushing, so it's tough to complain too much. In fact, his 6.1 YPC was by far the best of the year. He also had a 27-yard touchdown run called back due to a hold…Reggie Wayne picked a poor time to have his three lowest yardage totals of the season, which have occurred over the past three games, including a season-low 14 yards Sunday…Vick Ballard was highly impressive. He's an interesting keeper league commodity moving forward…Sunday marked

Yup, pretty much everything you really need to know about the RG3 situation can be found in the headline up above. TAKE EVASIVE ACTION. INITIATE THE KIRK COUSINS PROTOCOL. This is not a drill.
Robert Griffin III will be sidelined at Cleveland in Week 15, still struggling with that sprained LCL in his right knee. We all knew this was a possibility, from the moment Haloti Ngata hit Griffin's knee last Sunday, late in the fourth quarter. Hopefully you already had a replacement option on your roster. If for some reason you didn't, here's a list of widely available QBs, arranged as I'd rank 'em for fantasy purposes:

Pittsburgh Steelers WR
Antonio Brown's (ankle) injured ankle is still not at 100 percent. There remains a stinging pinch when he aggressively plants his right foot. 'My body is less than 100 percent, so I can't do what I want to do,'
Brown said. 'I can't make that move to do what's necessary without feeling the pain.'
Brown insists he will be ready for Week 15.

Heading into the second week of the fantasy playoffs, I can understand if fantasy owners are down on those players who failed to help them last week. However, one bad game doesn’t mean a player is going to let you down again this week. While rookie Bryce Brown struggled against the No.1 defense in the league against the run, expect a bounce back performance as the Eagles return home for a Thursday night matchup against the Bengals.

Finally! Dynasty owners like myself with David Wilson on their bench have been waiting for the ultra talented rookie to receive an opportunity to show case what he can do. Earlier in the season he had a long touchdown run against the Browns, but because of early fumbling issues and pass protection concerns, Andre Brown moved past Wilson on the depth chart.
Brown was placed on injured reserve a few weeks back and the Giants countered with Craig Lumpkin as added depth. Lumpkin saw a few snaps against the Redskins, but the Giants decided to use Ahmad Bradshaw as the teams feature back again as a counter to the Brown’s injury, rather than working Wilson in as a

The Chargers finally picked up a win and did so against a playoff caliber team, on the road. While Danario Alexander started off slow, he eventually had his way with the Steelers secondary picking up seven receptions for 88-yards and two touchdowns.
Alexander has done a terrific job in the short passing game, crossing routes and big plays down the field. Those of you that watched the Chargers play the Steelers on Sunday also know he has terrific balance and body control when going up in the air on 50/50 balls against a defender. This makes him a dangerous man inside the red zone and like his first touchdown, his body control around the sidelines allowed him to leap

Steelers WR Mike Wallace voices displeasure, future with team in doubt?

Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Wallace publicly criticized offensive coordinator Todd Haley's offensive system. quot; The first three years I was always involved, so you just warmed up in games, and you were just into it," Wallace said. "But when, you don't get the ball for two-and-half quarters, you lose focus." Wallace signed a one-year deal this past offseason and will be a free agent in 2013. His reception and touchdowns totals are about on par with his career numbers, yet his yardage numbers are way down. His yards per catch average is 11.9 this season, down from 16.6 in 2011 and 21.0 in 2010, respectively. FANTASY ANALYSIS: Wallace is as good as gone in Pittsburgh. Although he should command a serious market during his impending free
