The passing attacks in the NFL are taking over and that means there is plenty to go around in the wonderful world of wide receivers. Over each of the past two seasons, at least 10 quarterbacks threw for 4,000 yards after just five accomplished that feat in 2010 and six in 2008.

Calvin Johnson stole the show last year with his 1,964 receiving yards and it's hard to believe he only had five TDs. The lack of TDs actually put him just eight fantasy points ahead of Brandon Marshall. -- who had a massive season, as well. Minnesota spent its 2nd pick of Round 1 on Florida State CB Xavier Rhodes.  The former Seminole brings great size to match up with divisional foes such as Bears WR Brandon Marshall and Detroit WR Calvin Johnson.  The Vikings' lack of depth at the position offers a fairly clear path to early starting duty.  Rhodes brings some big-play ability with 8 INTs and 23 pass breakups over 3 years at FSU.

FANTASY ANALYSIS: Broken fingers in February, even for a wide receiver, shouldn't be a huge deal for an NFL'er. If Johnson had torn ligaments and needed surgery, then there would be a slight bit more worry, but not much. He just has so much time to heal. Johnson, apparently, played most of last season with two broken fingers, and those digits really hindered him as he put up only 1,892 yards, smashing the single-season record for receiving

Lions insider Chris McCosky has learned that WR Calvin Johnson played through 2 fractured fingers "most of last season."  It's unclear exactly when the injury occurred, but it only makes Megatron's record-breaking 2012 campaign even more impressive.  His 122 catches were a personal best, and his 1,964 receiving yards were the most in NFL history.  It is worth noting that Johnson was charged with a career-high 14 drops.  The broken fingers likely had a lot to do with that.  Johnson will be ready for the Lions' offseason program, though, and the injury won't be a factor in 2013.  He's the clear-cut #1 WR in fantasy football.
