Gregg Popovich made a late move to get rest and recuperation for Tim Duncan and Tony Parker on Tuesday, replacing them with Corey Joseph and Kawhi Leonard in the starting five for the 137-97 drubbing by the new-look Trail Blazers. Duncan ended up resting anyone fitting the combination of veteran/regular - DeJuan Blair (20 minutes), Richard Jefferson (19), Gary Neal (18), and Matt Bonner (6) all saw limited action. Leonard (43), Joseph (37), James Anderson (35), Eric Dawson (32), and Danny Green (31) saw the big minutes, but there is nothing to be read into anyone's numbers from this

The Oklahoma City Thunder is a legitimate threat to take the Western Conference Finals this season. The sheer explosive power brought to the table by their stars is something that the rest of the NBA cannot ignore. In the Thunder’s overtime victory over the Denver Nuggets, we caught a glimpse of what happens when three of its four cylinders go into overdrive.
Line of the Night: Of course the Thunder was led by its best player, Kevin Durant (3.77), who blew up for 51 points via an efficient 19-28 from the field which included five treys. He rounded out the line with eight boards and four

For what it’s worth, Jeremy Lin (0.16) is owned in 88% of Yahoo leagues. That means 2 things: 1) there is at least 1 owner in 88% of leagues who is paying attention to their team; 2) I was way off in my previous assumptions that the Dead League number was closer to 33% (which has been my general assumption for the past several years). Either that or it shows just how wide ranging the impact of Lin has been when he can get even casual fantasy owners to stop hitting on girls, eating wings and drinking beer, and just generally partying for long enough to be like “Oh, dude, I’m going to go check my fantasy league to see if Jeremy Lin is available.” Of course, this d-bag that I imagine when I think of the casual

A ton of great fantasy performances last night, led by…
Line of the Night: LeBron James (2.62 WARP). With Wade sitting this game out with a sore left foot, James dominated the Pacers to finish with 33 points, 8 rebounds, 13 assists in a 118-83 beat down. James tweaked his ankle in the third quarter after stepping on the foot of Indiana’s Paul George and is day-to-day, but he’s a beast, so you know he’s going to play tonight.
Honorable Mentions: It’s one of the more tragic fantasy stories of the season so far – our beloved Golden State Warriors STILL have not scored

These tiers are based on the GMTR 2011-12 Player Tier spreadsheet, which is in turn based on rankings for 9-category H2H leagues. A player’s overall rank is included in parenthesis after their name for reference.
Tier 1: The Tower of Power
Dwight Howard (13)
There are plenty of guys that qualify at center in most fantasy leagues (Pau Gasol, Amare Stoudemire, Zach Randolph) but in terms of true centers, Dwight Howard is both your greatest

Toney Douglas (NYK) – Douglas hasn’t totally recovered from his May 4 labrum surgery and may be behind in his rehab.
Corey Maggette (CHA) – Paul Silas has indicated that Maggette will start at SF for the Bobcats. He also expects Maggette to carry the scoring load for Charlotte and average 20 points a game. It would be fantasy gold if he could actually live up to that, but I have my doubts.
Mike Miller (MIA) – Miller had abdominal surgery earlier this week to repair a muscle problem and there’s speculation that he could be out up to 8 weeks. That might seal his amnesty fate.
Timofey Mozgov (DEN) – It appears that Denver might
