It may seem insane-ludi-ridiculously early for fantasy football ranks, but with the NFL draft beginning Thursday, it's time for a refresher. The Steelers are bringing back wide receiver Plaxico Burress for another season in the Black and Gold. A league source has told CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora that the two parties will finalize a contract quot;in the coming days." It will be a one-year deal for the veteran minimum. Burress played three games with the Steelers last season and caught a grand total of one pass. He was originally with the Steelers from 2000-04. He will turn 36 years old in August. FANTASY ANALYSIS: The Steelers could need a little receiver help now that Mike Wallace has officially joined the Dolphins, and
Heath Miller's knee has his 2013 status way up in the air. But Burress is nothing more than a goal-line target at this point in his career, as evidenced by the

Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger admits that the shoulder and rib injuries he suffered last November sapped his arm strength. "Sometimes, certain passes just weren't right," Big Ben said, "I didn't trust myself to get enough zip on it to throw it out there. I tried to guide it too much instead of just throw it." Prior to those injuries, Roethlisberger completed 66% of his passes, averaged 252 yards per game, and tossed 16 TDs vs. just 4 INTs. In 4 games after returning, Big Ben's numbers dipped across the board: a 56% completion rate, 244 yards per game, and a 9-to-4 TD:INT ratio. Roethlisberger says he feels "great" now and will be at 100% for offseason activities. But durability will continue to be a concern for a guy who

Steelers GM Kevin Colbert admits the team has no timetable for TE Heath Miller's return from this past December's torn ACL and MCL. "In my mind, when you have an ACL late in the year, I still don't believe a player is 100 percent until a year is up," Colbert said. "They may play before that, but... if you get something 100 percent before a year, it's a bonus. We'll know more when we get to April." Miller can look at Adrian Peterson's return as inspiration, but the fact remains that he's not a good bet to be ready for Week 1. Miller is 3 years old than AP and not nearly as gifted an athlete. We'll track his progress this offseason, but Miller probably won't be worth drafting this summer.

The Steelers will be without wide receiver Mike Wallace this Sunday against the Browns. The explosive deep threat didn't practice all week because of a strained hip and was officially ruled out on Friday. Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders will be Pittsburgh's top two wideouts in the season finale. FANTASY ANALYSIS: In missing the first game of his career, Wallace may have very well played his final game as a Steeler. He is a free agent after the season, and beat writers believe he will be looking for more money than the team is willing to give him. For Week 17, Brown is a very nice play as he has scored in three straight games and has seen his yardage totals climb of late. One worry is that he will see a lot of Joe Haden, but I still

For the first time in the fantasy era, a pair of tight ends were weighed by drafters at the Round 1 turn. In the eyes of millions, Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham, off historic 2012 campaigns, were position titans equal to or better than some of the virtual game's most established wide receivers. Unfortunately, injuries and inconsistency hindered the duo in the follow-up. Overall, after a year of unprecedented production, the position as a whole slipped. Though still deep, only four TEs finished the season with at least 120 total points in traditional formats, the lowest total since 2008. Outside of Jimmy Graham, Tony Gonzalez, Aaron Hernandez and Jason Witten it’s starting to get ugly at the tight end position for fantasy options. Super star names like Vernon Davis and Antonio Gates continue to play way below the expectations we have for them, while other options like Kyle Rudolph and Brandon Myers have good games then disappear for a week or two.
After the top names, look to Jermaine Gresham as the most reliable player for production. For the first time last week Gresham has had at least 43-yards in a game or he’s made up for it with a touchdown in the past six straight weeks.

The Raiders are horrible and changes will be coming in Oakland soon after the season is over, once again. For all the problems this team is having there is one man who won’t let this team down, nor his fantasy owners and that is Brandon Myers. Part of Myers success is the Raiders playing from behind every week, but give the young tight end credit as he’s put together 69 receptions for 721 yards and four scores on the season. Last week was a career game with 14-receptions, 130 yards and a touchdown against the Browns.
Myers skill-set and usage in the Raiders offense will continue to make him a more valuable option in PPR leagues rather than standard leagues, but we

Steelers QB soreness has 'diminished' Reports have indicated that soreness in
Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder and chest have "diminished." ESPN's Ed Werder indicated that Roethlisberger will "attempt to demonstrate to the coaching staff that he's capable of making all of the required throws, something he failed to accomplish last week." (

If you can preemptively slot Murray in a flex spot, all the better - you're expanding your options. There is nothing guaranteed here.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (ribs, shoulder) will not be able to play Week 13.
Huddle Up: There was some hope that Big Ben would start this week, but reality has set in. This is bad news for Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Heath Miller as the Ravens can tee off on Charlie Batch. Jonathan Dwyer is about the only good option in that offense this week, and the sledding might be tough if the Ravens stack the line.
