Kansas City Chiefs #1 – Luke Joeckel – OT -Texas A&MThe Chiefs have more talent than most last place teams have had here in the past, but they really need to address concerns on the offensive line with OT Brandon Albert likely leaving.
Jacksonville Jaguars #2 – Eric Fisher – OT – Central MichigamIf any QB in Jacksonville is going to have success, he’s going to need a little bit of protection. Not a flashy pick, but a effective one. In other news, I’m digging their new unis.
Oakland Raiders #3 – Sharrif Folyd – DT – FloridaRemember

The Giants have reached a 3-year, $8 million deal with DT Cullen Jenkins. The former Eagle visited the team shortly after Philly cut him. He also met with the Seahawks, Niners and Raiders after that before returning to sign. That sequence suggests Jenkins likes what the Giants offered, likely in terms of money and role. Jenkins tallied 9.5 sacks over 2 seasons with the Eagles. That followed 7 sacks in just 11 games his final year in Green Bay. Jenkins brings more pass-rushing pop to the interior than DT Chris Canty, whom the Giants cut for salary-cap reasons this winter. That added interior pressure can only help DEs Jason Pierre-Paul and Justin Tuck. Look for the team to improve on its lowly #22 league ranking in sacks from 2012.

He told ESPN New York: “I started doing some things where I look at myself and I was like, 'Why did I do that?' You just trying to make a play and it ends up working the wrong way for you. It’s just frustrating.” Tuck says he's healthy -- despite a minor shoulder injury late in the year -- and determined to have a "Justin Tuck year" in 2013. Well, that sounds a lot like what he said last offseason. Then, it was that Tuck slacked off a bit during the lockout and was determined to put in the work for a bounce-back 2012. Didn't happen. This time around, the soon-to-be 30-year-old gets less benefit of the doubt for us. Tuck will almost

The Eagles made a change at defensive coordinator during the bye week in hopes of turning things around. Who knows if it will do any good, but I can’t imagine both Trent Cole and Jason Babin will continue to perform at such a low level from where we grown accustomed to seeing them.
Atlanta comes to town and fortunate for the Eagles they have a history of giving Michael Turner problems. If his struggles continue, it will greatly help both ends odds of harassing Matt Ryan in the pocket.
I also have a feeling we will see less of a rotation on the front line, giving both ends a chance to get into the flow of a game. That’s just a guess, but after a big change in

Robert Griffin III converted a ridiculous 4th-and-10 play with the game on the line while spinning and changing directions to avoid Jason Pierre-Paul and
Justin Tuck. The one mistake he made was scoring too quickly with a bomb to Santana Moss. That left 1:40 and two timeouts for Eli Manning, plenty of time to drive gradually, so the Redskins couldn't just plant their safeties 30 yards off the line of scrimmage. As a result, Victor Cruz was able to run by them. Still, RGIII is exceeding the substantial hype preceding his arrival into the league, and if I were to pick a QB to run my real-life franchise for this year only, I'd already take him ahead of Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Joe Flacco and maybe Tony Romo and Philip Rivers. In fantasy, I think only Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers can be safely ranked ahead of him. Consider also that RGIII has missed his top receiver Pierre Garcon for most of the year and his No. 2 target Fred Davis for some of it (and now the rest of it).

The image over on the right? Yeah, that's the worst.
That would be Maurice Jones-Drew on the sideline, supported by crutches, not playing football.
MJD suffered a left foot injury on the second play from scrimmage in Jacksonville's loss to Oakland on Sunday, then spent an eternity on a bench, getting taped and de-taped. He was eventually carted to the locker room for additional maintenance. While there, he presumably picked up Rashad Jennings in all of his fantasy leagues.
When Jones-Drew emerged in the second half, he was out of uniform, looking crushed. His foot was in a boot. We don't yet know the exact nature of MJD's malfunction, but this doesn't have the look of a minor issue.

Both Jeremy Mincey and Matt Shaughnessy have terrific matchups as the Jaguars and Raiders face off in Oakland this week. Both have had their ups and downs in their careers but we should put them in the lineup this week.
When playing, Shaughnessy has proven to be a DL1 option and we should expect that production going forward.
Mincey on the other hand, had a disappointing day against the Bears, but the Jaguars fell behind early and it put the Bears in a situation to run more high percentage plays, and unfortunately Mincey didn’t get it done in tackles. That can happen even to the best defensive linemen so consider it just a bad day and get him in the lineup

The Giants ranked dead-last in the NFL in rushing last year, on both a per-game and per-carry basis (89.2 YPG, 3.5 YPC), and their defense struggled in the regular season, finishing as a bottom-third unit in points and yards allowed (25.0 PPG, 376.4 YPG).
Back in the day, we didn't expect teams like that to approach .500, let alone win Super Bowls.
But of course we're not back in the day. Arizona nearly claimed a championship a few seasons ago with similar flaws. And prior to 2011, the winning formula for the Colts was essentially "no ground game + meh defense + a Manning at QB = division title." Heck, last year's AFC champion Patriots didn't run the ball particularly well, either (4.0 YPC), and that D

NFL teams are always on the lookout for pass-rushing defensive ends, and fantasy football owners are on the same search.
IDP (Individual Defensive Player) leagues are becoming more prevalent in the fantasy football world, so fantasy owners are paying closer attention than ever to pass-rushers who can get them 10-20 sacks. And considering so many of today’s pass-rushers are outside linebackers, it's harder than ever to find defensive ends who consistently pressure passers.

Let’s give Jermichael Finley a pass for his inconsistency last year. Quality veterans like Miles Austin and Justin Tuck attributed their nagging injuries to poor conditioning, and that is understandable when they didn’t have their team trainers around to help them.
Factor in Finley was coming off a knee injury that cost him most of the 2010 season, and not only did he likely have problems with his rehab, but he failed to get back on the field and get valuable reps. While Aaron Rodgers made light of OTAs at the start of last year, it was players like Finley that were hurt most by this down time.

Only time will tell, but it appears he will earn a three down role right away, and while he probably won’t play the same high snap count we saw from Sheard, his prospects of a breakout rookie year are encouraging.
