The Saints have placed WR Nick Toon on IR.  The rookie had an impressive spring but was plagued by a foot injury for most of August.  Toon had foot issues throughout 2011, too, so it's becoming a long-term concern.  He'll use 2012 as a "redshirt" year and hope to contribute next season.  Greg Camarillo was released on Friday, so Devery Henderson is locked-in as New Orleans' #3 WR.

The Saints have signed WR Greg Camarillo.  They're looking for some depth at the position with Devery Henderson struggling, Nick Toon dealing with foot issues, and Adrian Arrington sidelined after knee surgery.  Camarillo caught just 29 total passes over the last 2 years in Minnesota, but he does have a couple 50-catch seasons to his name.  He could open the season as the Saints' #4 WR but would need to move a notch higher to be a reliable fantasy option.

Saints WR Adrian Arrington underwent knee surgery on Monday.  No further details are available, and there's no timetable for his return.  It crushes any chance Arrington had at winning New Orleans' #3 WR job.  With rookie Nick Toon struggling with a bum foot, Devery Henderson is a near-lock to enter the season as the 3rd WR.  We still like Toon to eventually move ahead of him in the pecking order though.
