Deron Williams has been a disappointment for fantasy owners this season. He currently ranks as the No. 34 ranked player on the year, which is hardly terrible, but he was drafted as a top-15 guy, and it’s taken him being the No. 9 player over the past month to get back into the top-50. Since joining New Jersey/Brooklyn 2+ years ago, Williams has shot 41.1 percent from the floor, well below his career mark (45.2). A big part of the problem has been health, mainly ankle issues. A night after sitting out with a sore back, Aldridge returned to the lineup against the Pistons and had his best game of the season, scoring 32 points, and adding 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 blocks in 41 minutes on the court. Word is that the Pistons focused their defensive efforts on stopping Damian Lillard, leaving Aldridge (relatively) free to do his thing. The result was a huge night for Aldridge, a quiet one for Lillard, and one win for the Pistons. Still, its great news for anxious Aldridge owners, who can now relax just a bit.

And I can see why. Last night was at least the third line of the night performance from Durant so far this season as he led the Thunder to an overtime win over the Sixers with 37 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks in nearly 50 minutes on the court! With Harden gone this season, Durant has actually become a bit more of a playmaker in addition to all the scoring – he’s averaging 4.5 assists per game – up from 3.5 lasts season.

Patrick was without cable for a while, but that is practically inconsequential compared to the results of the storm as a whole. As reported just about everywhere at this point, the Oklahoma City Thunder, who were unable to come to an agreement on a contract extension with James Harden, decided their relationship just wasn’t going to work out and traded him to the Rockets yesterday.

The Thunder get Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb and a number of draft picks for Harden, while the Rockets will also get Cole Aldrich, Lazar Hayward and Daequan Cook (yay!)
