Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin looks quick and explosive in OTAs. He looks to be fully healthy after a disappointing sophomore season.
Huddle Up: Baldwin's production (29-366-3) dipped noticeably in 2012 after a his strong debut in 2011 (51-788-4) as Sidney Rice (50-748-7) and Golden Tate (45-688-7) stepped forward as Russell Wilson's top targets. Now, Percy Harvin is joining the Hawks' WR mix, and improved or not, Baldwin is going to have even more competition for targets.

DeAndre Hopkins HOU (1st RD) -
While Cordarrelle Patterson may have the best upside from a raw skills perspective in this years class, it is Deandre Hopkins that is No.1 on my board. In Hopkins you have the most polished receiver in this class and he should be a slam dunk, week one starter opposite Andre Johnson.
At worst case Hopkins will be a bye week starting option in his rookie year and at best case he’s probably a weekly WR3 play. By next year we should see his floor at WR3, and his upside could blossom as far as a WR1 in PPR leagues, if the injury bug jumps up and bits Johnson again.

For a team that registered the most rushing attempts and fewest passing attempts last year, the arrival of Percy Harvin will surely change the Seahawks' offense. So, how much?
According to head coach Pete Carroll, none at all.
quot; This is not a change at all," Carroll said during a Wednesday radio interview. "... We're gonna do exactly what we wanna do with continuing to send the message about how physical we are, how we attack with the running game and fit off that." FANTASY ANALYSIS: OK, whatever. The Seahawks are going to throw more often this season. When you have a top-10 WR in your mitts, you can do that. Marshawn Lynch will still be a workhorse back, fantasy owners don't need to worry him. Carroll's team can still be physical

NFL free agency begins tomorrow, but the biggest story of a player changing teams during the offseason may have happened today. According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Vikings have agreed to trade top wideout Percy Harvin to the Seahawks. Minnesota will receive undisclosed draft picks in return, and the trade will become final once Harvin passes a physical.
Update: The Vikings will reportedly receive the Seahawks' first-round pick (25th overall) and seventh-round pick this year. They will also get a middle-round pick in 2014. Not bad. Also, multiple reports state that Harvin will sign a long-term contract with Seattle soon, possibly within the next 24 hours.

For Seattle, this is a huge move. That offense is so dynamic now, defenses will be having fits against the Seahawks. You can plan to stop Harvin, but

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Williams may look to Buffalo Bills WR Stevie Johnson's five-year, $36 million deal as a benchmark as he discusses a contract extension with the team this offseason. Seattle Seahawks WR
Sidney Rice signed a five-year, $41 million deal in 2011 that had more than $18 million in guaranteed money.
Huddle Up: Right now Williams is the WR2 in Tampa Bay after the Bucs spent big on Vincent Jackson last offseason. Considering they have an outstanding young running back and a question mark at quarterback, spending big on another wideout doesn't make a ton of sense. So if Williams is looking for Johnson or Rice money, he may have to leave Tampa to find it.

The NFL Playoffs are now set after 17 grueling weeks of play! There are a ton of story lines to follow. Among the more intriguing are three rookie quarterbacks, one of whom is guaranteed to win a playoff game in their first year; a second year quarterback who took over in week ten; a Colt’s team who went from worst last year to a playoff team this year, riding an emotional high after the return of their head coach from a successful bout against leukemia; and a team that went from the favorite for a first round bye to the number three seed in a few short weeks.
These are the overall rankings for the playoffs. Some formats require you to choose from all the teams in the playoffs, others allow you to go week to week. These

Perhaps the dumbest thing a fantasy manager can possibly do is publish player ranks on a mainstream sports site on the morning of a draft. Definitely not recommended. Poor strategy, requiring a special combination of stupidity and hubris. Far from ideal.
Nonetheless, I'm doing it today. My first fantasy playoff draft is coming up in just a few short hours, and I'm publishing ranks in advance. (Again: Unwise). Obviously I'd prefer to post this thing much later in the afternoon, after the draft, but my schedule is pretty jammed. I've blocked off eight-and-a-half hours to watch the Big Ten get mauled across five bowl games. The conference requires my full attention. So let's just rank the NFL playoff field right

Seahawks WR Sidney Rice (knee) will be a game-time decision for Sunday night's showdown against the 49ers. He only put in a limited practice on Friday. HC Pete Carroll expects Rice to play, but he'll be tough to trust in fantasy. Besides the late start time, Rice will be at less than 100% in a tough matchup. San Fran held him to 32 yards earlier this year. Consider him a low-end and high-risk WR3.

But in Week 16, a one-game season, there's no time for sentimentality and future speculation. If you don't like someone's chances at points this weekend, you cut the cord. And with

Sidney Rice did not practice on Wednesday because of a knee injury. If you recall, it was a foot injury that nearly kept
Rice inactive in Week 15 and head coach Pete Carroll commented after that game that Rice's foot was still sore. So this knee injury could be a whole new issue. Carroll recently said, quot;We might have to take care of him a little during the week to get him ready for game day." FANTASY ANALYSIS:
Rice is one of those players who always seem to have some type of injury. That said, he's having his best season by far since his breakout year with Minnesota back in 2009.

If you happened to draft Brandon Lloyd this past summer like I did, you’ve probably been shaking your head when watching the Patriots play on prime-time television the past two weeks as the veteran has looked like a Pro Bowl star. In that time Lloyd has been targeted a whopping 25-times, hauling in 17-receptions for 279-yards a score and even picking up a fumble recovery in the end zone for another touchdown.
Problem is, many of you didn’t have him in your lineup let alone on your team at this point, after Lloyd struggled throughout the season and was demoted out of two receiver sets against the Dolphins and Colts.

While many have made the case for Michael Crabtree being a first round bust, it appears the 4th year receiver is starting to come into his own. Early signs in the off-season suggested this could be a breakout year for Crabtree, if for no other reason than he finally overcame his problematic foot issues.
For the first-time Crabtree actually played in a preseason game this August, and thankfully his foot ailments appear to be a thing of the past.
The best thing that ever happened for Crabtree was Alex Smith’s demotion in the middle of the season. It’s not that Crabtree and Smith weren’t having success together, but more that Colin Kaepernick has the

Sidney Rice (foot) suffered a bruised foot in the Week 14 game blowout win against the Arizona Cardinals, head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday, Dec. 12. X-rays and an MRI did not reveal any serious damage, but
Rice is currently in a walking boot and did not practice Wednesday.
Huddle Up: Keep a close eye on this if Rice is one of your potential starters and see if the 'Hawks' leading receiver can get on the practice field later in the week.
