New England Patriots WR Danny Amendola is working on getting on the same page with QB
Tom Brady. The two worked out together earlier in the offseason in California and are now taking part in organized team activities. 'I said it today; he darted me in the chest with one ball, and inside my head I was like, 'Wow, this guy can really wing it,'' Amendola said after Tuesday's practice. 'That's why he's

Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker is already making an impression on the Denver Broncos as he is trying to get on the same page with QB Peyton Manning. "Wes and I will continue to work and try to get on the same page," Manning told reporters at the team's OTAs. "I thought we had excellent production last year at the slot out of [WR] Brandon Stokley and adding Wes as a new player, we're looking forward to getting on the same page."
Huddle Up: Welker now becomes a headache for a whole new division, jumping from Tom Brady, the Pats and the AFC East to Manning, the Broncos and the AFC West. With WRs Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker already in place, it's unlikely Welker will match his 112-catch average from the past 6 seasons,

Tom Brady will turn 36 in August, and his receiving corps has been overhauled. He will have something to prove with that new cast of characters come September. But at least he feels good throwing the ball in May. Actually, better than good.
quot;Going into my 14th year, I have never had more confidence in how I am throwing the football,"
Brady said to Sports Illustrated's Peter King over the weekend. "I've never felt better throwing the football."
Brady credits those feelings to his work with former Major League Baseball pitcher Tom House, who is now tutoring quarterbacks. House has made some changes to Brady's mechanics that
Brady said have made him more confident as a passer.
So, what changes have been made exactly?

Blount only appeared on 92 offensive snaps last season, limiting him to just 41 carries for 151 yards and two scores. DeAndre Hopkins HOU (1st RD) -
While Cordarrelle Patterson may have the best upside from a raw skills perspective in this years class, it is Deandre Hopkins that is No.1 on my board. In Hopkins you have the most polished receiver in this class and he should be a slam dunk, week one starter opposite Andre Johnson.
At worst case Hopkins will be a bye week starting option in his rookie year and at best case he’s probably a weekly WR3 play. By next year we should see his floor at WR3, and his upside could blossom as far as a WR1 in PPR leagues, if the injury bug jumps up and bits Johnson again.

Huddle Up: Jenkins (40-449-2 with the Vikings) and Jones (41-443-4 with the Bills) are coming off decidedly mediocre seasons in 2012, and even with Tom Brady now throwing them the ball, the winner of the derby shouldn't expect too much of a jump considering all the other weapons in New England.

When it comes to rookies conventional wisdom no longer applies. With a few notable exceptions, most first-year players, particularly quarterbacks, were once thought to be multi-year projects, the Steve McNair approach – observe, learn and wait.
But in this day and age where instant gratification is constantly sought after, time isn’t of the essence. Several players picked in April are immediately pressed into competitive situations where often times they emerge as the go-to option, evident in the rapid ascension of guys like Robert Griffin III, Doug Martin and Josh Gordon, to name a few, last year. He ranks among the top 10 in passing yards, TDs and completion percentage during that span. He's also finished as a top 10 fantasy QB in each of his last 5 healthy seasons. The Dallas Cowboys plan to sign QB Tony Romo, who turns 33 in April, to a contract extension this month that may keep him with the Cowboys for the rest of his career. He has one season left on his contract and counts a team-high $16.8 million against the 2013 salary cap. A long-term extension could cut that cap number in half. The only talk around the team surrounding the quarterback position is working out a new deal with him. The Cowboys are not looking to replace Romo; instead, they plan to build around him and would like to upgrade their offensive line to give him more time in the pocket and an improved running game.
Huddle Up: Just a guess that Dallas fans aren't nearly as happy about Romo being a Cowboys lifer as

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said he didn't want to see a situation develop with QB
Tom Brady where he played for another team. 'I just didn't want to ever see this become like Joe Montana leaving San Francisco, Emmitt Smith leaving Dallas, Brett Favre leaving Green Bay, Peyton Manning leaving Indianapolis. If
Tom Brady played out this current contract and left us, there was no doubt in my mind that someone out there would pay him top dollar, and they should, for this ability, his leadership and his unselfishness,' Kraft said. Kraft went on to note that he was trying to stay ahead of the curve, but added the team doesn't have the ability to pay a single player 18 to 20 percent of the salary cap.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft denied there is a handshake agreement with QB
Tom Brady where
Brady will be taken care of down the road financially, possibly even before this contract plays out. He also denied speculation that
Brady agreed to the deal after being assured unrestricted free-agent WR Wes Welker would receive some of the money the Patriots saved on Brady's deal. 'This is a real deal. Look at our track record. We don't do fake deals. The contract we have with
Tom Brady is a real contract we will both live by,' Kraft said.

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees said he would be open to restructuring his contract if it would help the team's salary cap situation. 'I am always willing to consider anything that will help the team or the cap situation,' Brees said. It is not known at this point, however, if the Saints have approached Bress to discuss his contract. Brees' 2013 cap figure is $17.4 million, highest on the team.
Huddle Up: QB restructures are mostly definitely en vogue around the league, and the cash-strapped Saints may very well follow the lead of the Pats (Tom Brady) and Steelers (Ben Roethlisberger) and take Brees up on his offer.

That's what a league source has told Tom Curran of CSN New England. Lloyd signed a three-year deal last offseason. There is a $3 million option on his contract for next season, but, according to Curran, the team might eschew picking that up and gain the $2.5 million in cap space by releasing Lloyd.
Curran writes that Lloyd's attitude seems to be the No. 1 reason why the Patriots would be OK with moving on. He describes Lloyd as an quot;enigmatic personality," and an unnamed teammate said Lloyd is "weiirrrdddd." That jibes with a Tuesday report from the Boston Globe that stated Lloyd displayed "erratic behavior in the locker room and on the practice field." New England Patriots QB
Tom Brady said his decision to sign a three-year, $27 million contract extension was about the opportunity to help the team win. 'I really do just want to win, and that has and will continue to be the reason that motivates me and is the biggest factor in my decision-making process,'
Brady said.
