Coming off a trip to the Final Four, the Syracuse Orange are looking to reload after losing three stars to the NBA. The team will need big contributions from each of its starters to have the same success it did last season.
Syracuse's starting five is still a bit of a mystery since the team brings in six new players. It's tough to pick which of the team's many wings and big men will be starting come November, and even tougher to figure out which will be starting in March.
Let's take an early look at the projected starters and how they'll fair this season.

The most incredible streak in college lacrosse, and one of the most impressive in collegiate sports, is intact thanks to a late scoring binge by Syracuse. The Orange beat Yale 7-6 in the Elite 8, fueled by three goals in the final 3:36. With the win, SU advances to yet another Final Four. Which means this Class of ’13 will reach the promised land, just like every other class on the Hill since 1979.
Let that sink in. Every lax player who has suited up for the Orange in the last three and a half decades, and stayed for four seasons, has reached championship weekend. Simply amazing.

With one of the country’s best goalies defending Florida’s cage, the Syracuse defense couldn’t afford to allow the Gators 14 goals. The Orange did on March 2. On Saturday, SU needed to match or exceed Florida’s defensive intensity.
And the Orange did just that.
“You can’t really compare our defense to when we first played Florida at the beginning of the year,” SU defender Becca Block said, “because we’ve obviously had a lot more experience and believe in each other on a whole different level.”

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Dominic Lamolinara was Syracuse’s backup goaltender at the ides of March. He stood on the sideline and watched while Bobby Wardwell carried the Orange to a 3-1 start.
Two months later, Lamolinara is the center of attention. Lamolinara has been brilliant for Syracuse since he earned the starting nod following a strong second-half performance against Johns Hopkins.
His most recent gem – perhaps the finest of his college career – came Saturday afternoon at the University of Maryland, the school he used to call home. Lamolinara made nine saves, igniting No. 1-seed Syracuse (15-3) to a thrilling 7-6 victory over Yale at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium. In the clutch, Lamolinara came through,
