The Washington Redskins made significant additions to their secondary during the offseason, drafting two safeties and a cornerback. If last year's starters don't make a significant impact early, they could be watching from the sidelines soon.
Head coach Mike Shanahan has never shied away from his desire to have a more youthful team and to have a more solid depth chart. During the offseason, the team's primary area of concern was the secondary—which,

On July 18, 2012, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III signed a four-year, $21,119,098 contract that is fully guaranteed. That's commensurate with his status as the second-overall pick in the draft, and it pretty much insures that unless he really messes up the numbers, he'll never have to worry about money again.
Still, Redskins fans have decided to help RG3 out a bit with the expenses on his upcoming nuptials to the future former Rebecca Liddicoat by finding the couple's wedding registry on the Bed Bath & Beyond website ... and fulfilling all sorts of orders.
This was confirmed by Griffin on Twitter.
Thank you to the Fans who are helping buy ALL the items from our wedding registry at Bed Bath & Beyond … say.ly/MLw5Rbg
— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) May 19, 2013
Now, before the expected outrage that fans of a player making this much money would pitch in to buy these things for the happy couple (who are tying the knot on July 6), Griffin has an answer for that. The fans found his registry without his prompting and threw down of their own volition.
I didn't ask the fans to buy me anything. They found it on their own and decided to get what they could. SMH at all these Debbie downers — Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) May 19, 2013
SMH, indeed.

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (a.k.a. RGIII) is getting married on July 6th to Rebecca Liddicoat, and they registered for their wedding gifts at Bed, Bath and Beyond. To RGIII's pleasant surprise, the happy couple has already received most of the gifts that they have registered for, thanks to some generous fans.
As the photo shows, Griffin and his fiance have already received enough packages to fill an entire room:

Can Ryan Kerrigan and Brian Orakpo Become The Best Pass Rush Duo In The NFL?
Source: Yardbarker
In order for the Redskins defense to take that next step as a unit and make Washington a contender, Brian Orakpo and Ryan Kerrigan must become one of the best pass rushing duos in the NFL. Obviously, when we invested two first round picks on these players we expected for them to bring us a dominant pass rush. These two are going to be the keys to this defense performing up to the level they need to to compliment the high powered offense. As has been reported before, Rak is 100% healthy now, 5 months before the season so we should look forward to a big year from him. Having a healthy 1-2 punch from your rushers is extremely important, and the impact the Orakpo injury had on this defense last season can’t be understated. If Kerrigan can continue his progression the way he did from his rookie year to last year, he should have double digit sacks this season. Having Orakpo back will make the entire front 7 better as teams will key on slowing him down and that will free up other pass ru...

Good news for the Washington Redskins, as it seems that RG3 is indeed on the fast road to recovery and could very well reach his goal of playing in the season opener against the Eagles in September.

"Robert is doing extremely well as far as the time table," Griffin II said, via USA Today Sports. "He's been doing a lot over time, he never stops. He was throwing some prior to the draft. Everything seems to be on cue. Everybody in the organization is targeting that season opener."

This is perhaps the most serious issue for the Redskins for this upcoming season. For the first time in at least four years, the concept of regression towards the mean will not be working in favor of the Redskins, it will be working against them.
