– The day began with the Reds revealing that injured superstar Joey Votto would be out a little longer. Then, the Reds went out and again found a way to win.
Ryan Ludwick drove a two-run double to left field in the eighth inning, helping the Reds rally for a 4-2 win over the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Ludwick’s double gave the Reds a 3-2 lead. The same inning, Chris Heisey hit a two-out double, stole third, and scored on an RBI single to right by Wilson Valdez to make it 4-2. A large contingent of Reds fans stood and cheered, with plenty of Cincinnati shirts among the near-capacity crowd of 40,602.
