Virginia Tech had great balance in each of its last two wins, getting at least 280 passing yards and 170 rushing yards against both Miami and Wake Forest. Not coincidentally, those were its two finest offensive performances against high-quality opponents this year. The Eagles rank 95th nationally in total defense (419.3 ypg) and are prone to giving up yards in the air and on the ground.
