A's bats erupt to snap nine-game skid

The A's finally got their bats swinging the right way, using a four-run fifth inning to key a 9-3 win over the Royals at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, snapping a nine-game losing skid. Brandon McCarthy, fresh off the disabled list, picked up the win.
