Barrett Jones and Twitter

Alabama senior center Barrett Jones doesn’t post a whole lot on Twitter (@BarrettAJones), but when he does, he shows a good-natured sense of humor that works awfully well, especially within the 140-character limit.

Jones on reading: “My Kindle just suggested that I read the Great Gatsby Cliff’s notes edition. What must it think of me? #slacker”

Jones on renting movies: “I’m all for technology, but I miss the days of wandering aimlessly in the Blockbuster aisles looking for the perfect movie.”

Jones on riding in a boat and passing someone: “Why is it acceptable to randomly exchange waves with other boats as if to say ‘oh cool, you’re in a boat too.’ ”

Jones on USA Today running a
