Baseball Heads to Georgetown for Three Games This Weekend

Seton Hall had a strong performance last weekend, sweeping West Virginia in a three-game series at Owen T. Carroll Field. Mike Genovese went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief to earn the save in Seton Hall's 11-9 victory over the Mountaineers on Friday. Saturday was a pitcher's duel, won by Ryan Harvey. Harvey went six innings without giving up an earned run and struck out nine batters in a 3-1 win. Sunday, Brian Gilbert was perfect through five innings as the Pirates completed the sweep with a 9-4 win. Gilbert earned the victory, going seven innings, Frank Morris preserved the game with two innings of scoreless relief. Seton Hall played one mid-week game, and lost 7-0 on Tuesday. It was the first time the Pirates have been shut out this season. Giuseppe Papaccio was the lone Pirate with multiple hits in the loss.
