Big 12 moves two games to December

Texas and Texas A&M announced on Friday afternoon that they'll continue to play the Lone Star Showdown on Thanksgiving night, ending talk of a move to the now-vacated weekend usually reserved for the Big 12 championship.

Texas, however, will now play Baylor on Dec. 3, the first regular-season game in December for the Longhorns since 1995.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will also play on Dec. 3, making the long-rumored move a reality.

So while Texas and Texas A&M get to keep one tradition -- playing on Thanksgiving -- they end another. Texas' regular season no longer concludes with the rivalry game against the Aggies.

Barring a later announcement, however, Texas A&M's season will end with the rivalry game against the Longhorns.

So, to summarize:

Thursday, Nov. 24

• Texas at Texas A&M, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN.

Saturday, Dec. 3

• Oklahoma at Oklahoma State, 3:30 or 8 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN
• Baylor at Texas, 3:30 or 8 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN

Those should be a pair of pretty good games to give the Big 12 a presence on college football's championship weekend, but what say you, Texas and Texas A&M fans?
