Bruce Taylor out for season; comments from Beamer and Goforth about hurting Hokies

Virginia Tech starting linebacker Bruce Taylor is out for the season after suffering a Lisfranc sprain in his right foot Saturday against Boston College.
The Hokies have lost three defensive starters to season-ending injuries this year. Taylor, a 6-foot-2, 243-pound junior from Riceboro, Ga., won’t easily be replaced. He has a team-leading 53 tackles and five sacks this year.
Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster has referred to Taylor as the quarterback of the defense. Taylor, who led the team with 91 tackles last year, is scheduled for surgery next week.
