Titans running back Chris Johnson left Baptist Sports Park on Thursday at 200 pounds. He’s planning on returning a little heavier to have himself prepared for training camp.
After playing last season in the 191-pound range, Johnson said he’d like to be in the 197- to 198-pound range this fall.
“I want to be a little heavier because it makes me feel a little sturdier and it helps me make it through the whole season with the bumps and bruises,’’ he said.
Aside from working out in Orlando, Johnson plans to run hills in California for a few weeks before reporting to camp at the end of July.
