Day 115 of 124: Paul Pierce can score 43 points too, Carmelo

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but over the last 2 weeks, Carmelo Anthony (2.55) has increased his scoring from a season average of 22 points to over 31 points including games with 39, 42, and 43 (and last night’s triple-double that seems like it should have won Line of the Night: 35 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, 2 steals). Well, the Celtics played the Knicks last night and evidently Paul Pierce (2.84) decided he’d had enough and he was going to show Carmelo that he could score 43 points too.
