The Philadelphia Flyers didn't put away the New Jersey Devils when they had the chance and never recovered. And right as Flyers fans like myself were mourning that, the New York Rangers suffered the same lost opportunity in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Devils rallied from a 1-0 deficit to slaughter the Flyers and then came back from 1-0 and 2-1 down against the Rangers - so being down 1-0 to the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup Finals seemed manageable.
