As difficult as the climb ahead of the Devils appears, their approach to it is actually quite simple.
A win over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals Monday night at Staples Center would change the entire complexion of the series.
It might even put a little pressure on the Kings, who have been nothing other than in complete control of every playoff series they’ve played this year, including this one after identical 2-1 overtime wins in the first two games at Prudential Center.
The Kings, who are 10-0 on the road in this year’s playoffs, won the first three games of each of their first three series. Disrupting that pattern would be a good start for the Devils.
“We feel good,” Devils coach Pete DeBoer said
