Eye on the draft: Jacob Trouba

The Hurricanes have the eighth overall pick of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Each day until the draft on Friday, CanesNow will look at potential first-round picks, with analysis from Tony MacDonald, the Canes' director of amateur scouting.

If all that sounds familiar to Canes fans, it should. Defensemen Jamie McBain and Justin Faulk both took the same route to the Canes' lineup.
McBain followed up his play for the USNTDP by going to Wisconsin and Faulk to Minnesota-Duluth. Trouba, a native of Rochester, Mich., has
