Falcons' Jackson gets more practice reps
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson, who returned to practice for the first time since Week 2 on Wednesday, got an increased workload on Thursday coming off a hamstring injury.
Although Jackson stopped short of declaring himself ready to play against Arizona on Sunday, the outlook looks more promising based on what head coach Mike Smith said following Thursday's practice.
"In terms of limited, they actually had more snaps than they had yesterday, and that was the plan -- to try and ramp them up," Smith said, referring to both Jackson and tight end Chase Coffman, who is coming off a knee injury.
