Final: Clemson 56, Maryland 45

Thanks in large part to the all-purpose yardage of true freshman receiver Sammy Watkins and his blazing speed, Clemson avoided an upset on the road and escaped College Park with a win. This turned into a surprising shootout, especially with rookie quarterback C.J. Brown taking over for the Terps. Clemson's defense, which had shown improvement in recent weeks, was far too kind in this game, as the Terps ran all over the Tigers.
The turning point in the game was probably Watkins' 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown that put Clemson ahead 48-45 late in the fourth. He looked like a track star, and nobody even came close to touching him.
With Georgia Tech's loss and Clemson's win, the Tigers are the lone undefeated team remaining in the conference. Considering how much of a scare Maryland gave Clemson, though, there's no telling how long much longer Clemson's lead will last.
