No upset, no overtime, but a good road win for the Tar Heels
and an important one after last week's deflating Coastal Division loss to Georgia Tech.
East Carolina turned the ball over four times and was held to just 73 rushing yards. UNC didn't turn it over once and had just one penalty to ECU's six.
Quarterback Bryn Renner
completed 13 of 20 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns, and Giovani Bernard
ran for 146 yards and a touchdown. It was a complete performance by UNC, and the Tar Heels will have the momentum heading into Saturday's game against Louisville, which just lost to Marshall.
