With Georgia Tech's loss and Clemson's shaky performance tonight at Maryland, Virginia Tech proved again why it has been one of the ACC's best teams since joining the league -- consistency.
The Hokies racked up 472 yards of total offense, quarterback Logan Thomas accounted for four touchdowns, and running back David Wilson racked up 136 yards and a touchdown on just 17 carries. There's little doubt that last weekend's offensive performance in the win over Miami was a turning point for the Hokies.
Virginia Tech ended the weekend neck-and-neck with Georgia Tech in the Coastal Division standings. Both programs now have one conference loss each, but Wake Forest also only has one and is still in a very good position in the ACC race.
