CLEVELAND: Kyrie Irving played less than 10 minutes because of a stomach virus, while Washington's John Wall had 21 points and 13 assists as the Cavs fell into a three-way tie for the third-worst record in the NBA with a 96-85 loss to the Wizards.
Irving initially wasn't expected to play when he woke up with the stomach flu, but took part in pregame warmups and was medically cleared to play. Coach Byron Scott said he would limit his minutes and he certainly did. Irving, who averaged better than 21 points in his last three games, played 9:47 in the first quarter and didn't return. He finished with five points and an assist.
