The cleats that Tony Gonzalez hung up are remaining right where they are.
On Thursday, Gonzalez reiterated to the Boston Globe's Ben Volin that he's not interested in returning to the NFL.
Not a whole lot has changed since Aug. 19, when Gonzalez insisted that, despite temptation to win a much-elusive Super Bowl, he's staying retired.
"I've had teams ask me to come back and play for them,'' he said, via Newsday. "I won't name those teams, but I'm happily retired, so I'm not even thinking about it.
Gonzalez, 38, unofficially called it quits this offseason. In his final season, he caught 83 passes for 859 yards with eight touchdowns. In February, he accepted a job with CBS as a studio analyst for NFL Today.
