As far as fakes go, Virginia Tech running back David Wilson had to believe his run fake in the waning moments Saturday against Miami would be worthy of an A grade in his academic world at Tech.
Wilson’s run fake on quarterback Logan Thomas’ 19-yard touchdown run with 56 seconds left in Tech’s 38-35 win against Miami brought several Hurricane defenders over to the right side of the field, leaving a huge hole in the middle for Thomas to sprint to the end zone.
