Virginia Tech's leading tackler will have season-ending surgery on his right foot this week, becoming the Hokies' third opening day starter to be sidelined for the year with an injury.
BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech has coped with season-ending injuries to defensive starters twice this year without missing a beat.
The Hokies will have a tall task doing the same following Monday's news that linebacker Bruce Taylor will miss the rest of the year because of a Lisfranc injury to his right foot.
