Investing in strength staff; more from `Sunshine’ visit; Richt tackles digital age

The newest member of Georgia’s strength and conditioning staff was hired at a salary twice that of the person he replaced.
Justin Lovett, who spent the past two years on the strength and conditioning staff of the NFL’s Denver Broncos, will make $70,000 a year as an assistant. He replaces former Bulldogs linebacker Tony Gilbert, who left to become a graduate assistant coach at Auburn.
That pushes the total salary for Georgia’s overhauled strength staff to $445,000. That’s more than $100,000 what Georgia paid its strength staff last season when it had five full-time staffers and a part-time assistant.
