Irene weakens, moving off NJ coastline

MIAMI (AP) — Forecasters say Irene, still barely a hurricane now with top sustained winds of 75-mph (120-kph) winds, is crawling alongside the New Jersey coast and nearing New York City.
The National Hurricane Center said at 5 a.m.
