Islanders Sign Blair Riley

Yesterday the Islanders announced that they signed the 26-year old Sound Tiger to a two-way, one-year deal. The physical Riley got an ATO from the Sound Tigers last season and ended up staying around for 55 games, finishing with 11 points and 77 PIM in 55 games. Riley was a fan favorite in Bridgeport, writes the CT Post:
Blair Riley won over Bridgeport Sound Tigers fans with his grit and his skills, and apparently he won over the New York Islanders at the same time.
The Islanders and Riley, 26, have agreed to terms on an NHL deal for next year, the team announced Friday.
