J.T. Thompson excited about a second chance at his senior season

If Virginia Tech power forward J.T. Thompson had to put a percentage on it, how healthy is he?
“I’m going to say 93,” he said with a smile today, when the Hokies began practice. “That’s an A-minus, maybe. It feels good. I haven’t done too much this week. I feel like going into the season, I’m going to be 100 percent.”
Thompson missed all of last year, which was supposed to be his senior season, after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the preseason. As a junior, he provided energy as Tech’s sixth man, averaging 7.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.
After getting hurt, he redshirted and is now back for his fifth-year senior season, as is shooting guard
