Jon Daniels: Scott Feldman has ‘earned the right’ to stay in Ranger rotation

Right-hander Scott Feldman’s interesting season took another twist with his ascension to full-fledged member of the rotation.

Feldman began the season as the staff swing man and went as long as two weeks between appearances. With Colby Lewis and Neftali Feliz out for the season because of injuries and right-hander Roy Oswalt sent to the bullpen because of inconsistent performance, Feldman is now entrenched in the rotation.

“We’re going to put the club out there that gives us the best chance to win that night, that series, that period of time,” Daniels said. “Feldman’s earned the right to stay in there.”

Feldman is 4-0 with a 3.09 ERA in his last five starts. His next start is scheduled for Saturday at
