Coach Jason Garrett called out receiver Andre Holmes and safety Brodney Pool for failing to prepare properly for their conditioning tests. After two days of doing what Garrett termed “remedial running,” the two are expected to take the test again today, Jones said. Of the three, Garrett seemed most displeased with Holmes, a first-year player who spent most of last season on the practice squad and was expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver spot. The test requires receivers and defensive backs to run 60 yards in eight seconds. “(Long-distance running) doesn't get you ready to play football,” Garrett said. Jones raised eyebrows Monday when he invited fans to come watch the Cowboys “beat the Giants' asses.” Guard Bill Nagy is sidelined indefinitely with an ankle injury. ...
