Josh Wilson’s status still unknown

Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said that he likely won’t have an idea about the health of starting cornerback Josh Wilson until Thursday.

Wilson was hurt trying to make a tackle early in the third quarter of Sunday’s game and never returned. The cornerback was tended to by trainers for several minutes before he walkled gingerly off the field. Wilson proceeded to the locker room, but after the game Shanahan said it was believed that the injury (described as “lower back, head and neck” related) wasn’t as serious as it initially appeared.
