Knights sweep Sweets

The Chicken and some chicks.

The Corvallis Knights defeated the Walla Walla Sweets again Friday night to sweep the three-game series. This time it was 13-0.

However, the the main point of the game for the 1,504 in Goss Stadium was the San Diego Chicken. Check out the photos.

The obscure play of the game came in the second inning when the Knights also scored on a Little League-like play that I’ve seen several times.

Matt Nylen laid down a bunt, but P Doug Ashby threw the ball into right field and by the outfielder. That allowed Nylen to reach home on a three-base error.
