Coming into this season, the LSU Tigers are projected to be ranked No. 2 in the main polls. In the sbnation.com and scout.com's preseason polls, LSU is ranked No. 2, only behind USC.
The last time LSU was ranked No. 2 in the preseason polls was in 2007, the year the Tigers won their third National Championship.
