Logan Thomas talks about Tech's latest hoops commit

Who better to give insight on Virginia Tech’s latest basketball commit than the school’s starting quarterback?

Logan Thomas and Marshall Wood are good friends. They played against each other one season as Seminole District foes for Brookville (Thomas) and Rustburg (Wood). And the two have grown closer over the last few years, mainly through mutual friend Justin Dalton, a coach with the East Coast Fusion AAU team.

Wood, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound senior forward at Rustburg committed to Tech on Thursday. Thomas, who had multiple Division I basketball offers coming out of high school, said he was excited to hear the news.
