We’ve had some other more-pressing things going on around NFC Southland. But the league sent out the official news about this a few hours ago and I don’t want to sell New Orleans safety Malcolm Jenkins short.
The NFL named him the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week earlier today and it was well deserved and speaks volumes about how well Jenkins played in Sunday’s victory against St. Louis. Let me fill you in on how these awards work behind the scenes. The league does a very nice job selecting the winners, but there is some diplomacy involved.
