reliever Mark Lowe
is thoroughly disappointed at the timing of the Grade 2 hamstring strain that is expected to sideline him for the ALDS, assuming the Rangers advance.
Lowe said he suffered the injury during routine pre-game warmups Wednesday. He said he felt a pop on the seventh or eight stride while doing sprints. He had never suffered a hamstring injury before and didn't know what it was. Lowe, traded to the Rangers last year with Cliff Lee
, was injured when he joined the club and wasn't added to
