Minor leaguer O’Marra opts to play in Finland

Journeyman center Ryan O’Marra, who ended last season with the Ducks’ American Hockey League team in Syracuse, has reportedly signed with the Lahti Pelicans of the Finnish Elite League (SM-liiga).

O’Marra, 25, spent most of 2011-12 in the AHL and appeared in only two games with the Ducks after they acquired him from Edmonton in February. He had a goal and two assists in 18 regular-season games with the Crunch and added two assists in four playoff games.
