SURPRISED TO HEAR ON THE FOX BROADCAST LAST NIGHT THAT RANGERS PITCHER DEREK HOLLAND had the second-highest fastball velocity average (behind David Price) among all starting pitchers. Maybe I’ve just been staring at his mustache — which looks fascinatingly similar to the one I sported in my senior picture — too much to notice how nasty his stuff can be. And nasty it was last night, as Holland holds the Cardinals to two hits over 8 1/3 innings to lead the Rangers to a 4-0 victory over the Cardinals.
