ESPN's My Wish series continued Tuesday with an Illinois teenager hoping to get the chance to meet his favorite football palyer: former Florida Gator and current Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.
Sixteen-year-old Adam Hubbs, a former peewee football standout, was diagnosed with a rare life-threatening blood disorder in September of 2008 that left him susceptible to infection. After flat-lining in a hospital, Hubbs fell into a five-week coma.
Hubbs then had a stroke that drastically reduced the effectiveness of the left side of his body.
After receiving a surprise phone call from Tebow, Hubbs, whose room is covered in Gator gear, meets his idol in Orlando, Fla., for a day of fun.
Toward the end of the video, there is a very touching moment when Hubbs and Tebow play catch.
No matter your opinions of Tebow while he was at Florida, it's hard not to appreciate what he does for this young man.
