NYC utility braces for Irene

NEW YORK (AP) — New York City's largest utility is bracing for Hurricane Irene and officials say they may cut off power to 6,500 customers in Lower Manhattan and Wall Street if the flooding gets bad.
Consolidated Edison vice president John Mucci says they will not pre-emptively shut off any power, but they are prepared to turn off a grid if needed.
