COLLEGE STATION, Texas – No one really gave Ole Miss a shot of winning the College Station Regional before the weekend began. And that was to be expected considering they had lost six of their previous seven games.
However, the Rebels (37-24) are in the driver’s seat of the Regional after defeating the No. 1 seed Texas A&M Aggies (43-17) 6-3 on Saturday night to advance to the Regional Championship in front of an announced crowd of 5.445 at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
“It was just a great baseball game,” head coach Mike Bianco said. “It was a war out there. I thought both teams competed hard. It was very emotional playing the host team with the crowd behind them. We played really well
