- Shaw on similarities with Jim Harbaugh: "We're all about competition." Admitted personalities are different. That's a big yes.
- Luck: Yes, this will be his last college season.
- Luck on beard: "When I get annoyed with it, I will shave it."
- Shaw on co-defensive coordinators Derek Mason and Jason Tarver: "like an old married couple who finish each other's sentences."
- Shaw on talk of how Harbaugh gave Stanford edge: "I agree with him... " "My job is to maintain competitive spirit." Said "When someone cross the line, they know I'll be nose-to-nose with them."
- Shaw on WR Chris Owusu: "We need Chris Owusu to play in every game."
- As for young WR, "I don't know who will step up." Says if WR don't step up, they'll throw more to tight ends.
- Shaw said OC Pep Hamilton will coach QBs and WRs. Shaw will help out.
- Luck: "No regrets" on coming back.
- Luck on Shaw's role in his development: "He's been huge."
